Travel is not a holiday!! In our family we need travel as we need fresh air…
This time we decided to go somewhere that none of us went before… and we thought about Denmark.
It was first time when we were travelling all since Markus got his own seat on the plane. And now it’s much easier to manage space… 3 seats instead of 2, it feels like a castle!
So after 1 week in Denmark we brought some new learnings to be kept for the next times:
If your toddler is potty trained and he doesn’t feel comfortable with “adult’s toilet” then you should bring your potty with you or buy a disposable one. Because I had super nice moment when we left plane and Markus wanted to go to toilet and we didn’t have potty and we didn’t know where to buy in the city that we just landed. So we were tired, with backpacks and it was end of day and we were still running back and forth for a shop where to buy potty, which we just found the day after!
2. RESPECT YOUR TODDLER’S SPEED
Do you like museums? To enjoy typical food at the restaurant? But does your child likes to see ducks in a fountain? Sleep in the middle of the day? Just respect it. The child has his own needs and he is also member of the family, so manage the time with him.
3. DENMARK IS A NICE PLACE FOR CHILDREN!
I never ever before saw playground for children to spend time while parents are shopping for clothing… a playroom in the toys shop is not so surprising but a place for children in the regular clothes shops… yes, it is quite new for me.
And in general you feel that your children is very welcome in Denmark 😉
So hopefully we will be going back to Denmark!!!
